Kendra Continued

Here is another photo of Kendra...

I played around with the contrast on this a bit, because on the original the light was just a tad too harsh on her face.. I almost wanted to scratch it altogether because I didn't know how to fix it. Then, I noticed that bringing down the contrast made it a lot softer. I usually go for sharper images, but in this case I am actually really liking how soft the photo looks. What do you think?

Kendra's Senior Photos

Okay, so it's been a while since I posted anything.. can you tell I'm not great with blogs?! I'll keep trying I guess. Last week I had the pleasure of spending some time in the snow taking pictures of a sweet friend for her senior portraits. It was a bit cold with the sun going down while we were shooting, but the soft light made for some sweet photos. Here are a couple from the shoot:
She asked for minimal editing (not that I know how to do much anyways), so all I did with these was play a tiny little bit with the levels and sharpen just a tad, and here you go. And yes, her eyes are untouched as well... they are just that beautiful and luminous!
When it's 20 degrees and snowy, you have to get creative with your props and poses.. thankfully Kendra had a pretty awesome quilt that worked perfectly with her coloring and our surroundings, so we had fun with it.
The end! More to come...

Maggie

This is our sweet Maggie-moo. She is an 8 yr old border collie who we adopted two summers ago from Kellogg, Idaho. She enjoys barking at birds, long walks, defending la casa, being by Mom and Dad at all times, and laying in awkward positions.
She is our sweetheart.
